My first visit to The Restaurant at Oak Ridge was a great experience! It was a special event on Christmas Eve 2024. The dinner was buffet style and it was awesome! It was by reservation only. My husband saw the event on a local Facebook page called “Eat Up Maysville” and he promptly called and made the reservation. This was a special menu put together just for this event. But before I get to that, lets start with where this great place is. Conveniently located on highway 68 it is very easy to find. I have included a map to help you with the location.
Warm Inviting Atmosphere Walking in The Restaurant at Oak Ridge
Part of the the Oak Ridge Golf Club The restaurant has some amazing history as well as the Golf Club. You can find out more about that here. For the sake of this review I will stay close to the subject at hand and that is this amazing restaurant. Walking into this place is like taking a step back in time. The decor and style of this grand old place leaves you with a feeling that you just stepped into something special. Right away the manager came and introduced himself and showed us to our reserved table. He was very welcoming and informative. He gave us just a tiny bit of history on the place. As you might expect a place that has been around as long as this has more than likely been through some hard times and this place is no exception. The good news he told us is that the owners were trying very hard to bring this place back to its glory, and by all indications from my husband and I it is working.

After being seated we were offered a drink from the bar, then invited to go through the buffet line. Which we promptly did. What met you eyes was mouth watering. For this event here is what was on the menu for the evening.

The overall experience at this restaurant will have us coming back for sure. The food, the staff, the service was just great, You could tell the people that were working there were putting forth the extra effort to make this an enjoyable experience for all. I highly recommend! Just a foot note, After dinner we walked around the inside and discovered many more event rooms. This place is huge. It would also be a great place to have a wedding reception, company Christmas party, or just an event that would require a large gathering place. Make this place a “must” visit when you live in or visit Maysville, Kentucky.
